DIRECTORATE OF AUDITING AND PREVENTION
Directorate of Auditing and Prevention(*) was established in 2014.
Function, Command and Responsibilities of Units;
a) Providing to take precautions related for the reduction of the fire cases which may occur in the borders of İzmir Metropolitan Municipality.
b) Ensures that fire extinguishing systems are installed in the building, so that fires can be extinguished without loss of life and property.
c) Carries out the studies and proceses for the fire adequacy report or the necessary fire precautions for the licenses of the building. To report to the relevant institution / organization for legal proceedings the houses and workplaces where fire prevention and extinguishing measures are not taken.
d) Carries out works and proceses within the scope of investigation, supervision and opinion reporting on fire prevention and extinguishing precautions in the design, construction, operation, use and activity of any kind of buildings and facilities.
e) Provides technical support for the storage of flammable, inflammable and explosive materials according to the reconstruction plans and for the supervision of existing storage facilities
f) Prepares all kinds of information and documents that will constitute the basis of relevant administrative and legal processes within the scope of its mission.
g) Conducts all kinds of measurement, research, inspection and evaluation activities within the scope of fire prevention and extinguishing precautions and purchases consultancy services when necessary.
Fire Sufficiency Tracking System
The System is used for Fire Sufficiency Reports. With this system, the citizen is able to make the application in the municipality where he was affiliated without coming to the Central Service Building or Regional Units. In addition, the system provides editing, sharing and storage of Firefighting Report and Fire prevention views electronically.
