In order to promote the firefighting profession to the public, to have trained volunteers for fire and disaster response, to provide public support; volunteer firefighters organization establishment studies is being continued.
Volunteery Firfighters are trained to support the firefighters who need support during unusual events. Volunteer firefighters in all developed countries support professional firefighters.
In cooperation with the reeves, universities and industrial estates; It is aimed that the "Volunteer Firefighting Union" to be formed within the Izmir Fire Department will provide logistical support to the professional staff.
Volunteer firefighters will be trained at the Training Center of Izmir Fire Department

To participate in Volunteer Firefighting Union;
High school and balanced schools and university graduates, male and female volunteers who have completed 18 years of age and even have not a day from 45 years of old, must satisfy the conditions stipulated in the regulation.
